Abstract
This introduction to the Selected Proceedings of the 7th Conference on the Acquisition of Spanish and Portuguese as First and Second Languages describes the history of the conference series that includes the Hispanic Linguistics Symposium and the Conference on the Acquisition of Spanish and Portuguese as First and Second Languages, and includes acknowledgments for the conferences held at the University of Minnesota in 2004.
