Abstract
The 9th Annual Workshop on Immigrant Languages in the Americas was hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (in conjunction with the University of North Carolina-Asheville), October 25-27, 2018. This preface describes the history of the conference and the themes and language communities represented by the papers, and offers a brief summary of each paper.
