Abstract
The paper provides new arguments for the distributed analysis of exceptives as well as for the necessity of such an analysis for so-called clausal exceptives. All the observations are shown to follow from the exhaustification analysis of exceptives (Gajewski 2013, Hirsch 2016, Crnič 2018) and its new extension to clausal exceptives.
